Part 1 Details 

The family and US Navy have invited us to honor the life and service of LCDR Charles B. Goodwin on 11 Oct 2018 by riding in the procession from DFW Airport to Weatherford / Santo, TX, then handing off the procession to the West TX PGR. 

 

This is a Joint mission with West TX PGR to start at DFW Airport area then ride in procession to the Shell Mart at Interstate-20 and Hwy 281

The PGR that do not ride in the procession may meet at the Shell Mart parking lot and set a flag line, then stand tall and silent waiting on the procession of LCDR Goodwin. After the procession leaves the area, flags will be furled, returned to the support vehicle, riders will be debriefed and dismissed.

If anyone would like to ride to Abilene as a group, I will leave the QuikTrip at 0700 for the 1:45 min ride / 120 mile trip to ride with West TX PGR Procession from Funeral Home on to the cemetery. Their staging for the Procession to the Texas Veteran's Cemetery is at 9:00 am.

Funeral Processions/Escorts

EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession. 

At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way.  Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic. 

High Temperatures

It's every RIDER'S PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to hydrate prior to attending a mission. 

Begin drinking water the night before.  Drink water when you wake up and continue drinking water all day to ensure your body stays hydrated.
