Dear Mark,
It was such a pleasure to talk with you in advance of the burial. I felt like we were friends by the time I met you in person. I’m happy I got to meet Mike Moore, who took some awesome pictures.
I will be forever indebted to the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders for making my dad’s burial service so memorable. I have the deepest respect for this organization and the dedicated, professional riders. Your team stepped in as pallbearers. They placed the flowers in the Pavilion. They led us in an orderly fashion and surrounded us with their comforting presence. It was very clear their mission was to honor and pay tribute to my father for his military service.
I will share the pictures with my extended family. There are so many. I’m glad Mike took pictures of the Riders.
Thank you again for treating my dad like the WWII hero he was. Everyone at the burial service expressed high praise for the remarkable job the Patriot Guard Riders do to honor our veterans. I have already had an opportunity to share my sentiments with my cousins who are veterans and Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. I will continue to do so.
