His awards and medals include the following:  Rifle Expert Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Letter of Appreciation (2nd Award), Certificate of Commendation (2nd Award), Humanitarian Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Details 

The family of Christopher Lyn Martin has asked the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders to stand a flag line at his funeral service, accompany him on one last ride and again stand a flag line at his interment service at the DFW National Cemetery.

After the mission briefing, riders will establish a flag line and prepare to receive the family and friends for the funeral service. Once the service begins, flags will be returned to the support vehicle. Riders will be debriefed and dismissed. Those attending Part 2 of the Mission can depart for the cemetery. Riders participating in the procession will gather for the Safety Briefing. Honor Bikes will be selected, and we will stage and prepare for departure in the procession to the cemetery.

Details 

Riders not participating in the procession will stage at the DFW National Cemetery Visitor’s Center to be briefed, and then proceed to the designated shelter to set flags and await the arrival of the procession. Riders will stand tall and silent during the committal service, after which flags will be returned to the storage locker and riders will be debriefed and dismissed.
