John Edgar Spann enlisted the US Air Force in 1955. In January of 1969, he transferred into an Air Force Reserve unit for a total of 6 years and 23 days, giving John 20 years and 23 days retirement credit. During his service John attained the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5) and became a Communication Center Supervisor and was honorably retired in February of 1975. Awards were not listed on his DD214.

Details 

We will assemble at the Visitors Center for a briefing and big flag bikes selection. Big flag bikes will move to the proper lane, all others may proceed to the committal shelter to establish the flag line and await the family and friends of our retired veteran: John Spann. At the conclusion of the service, at the MRC direct, we will strike the flag line, store the flags in the storage locker, be debriefed and dismissed.

Funeral Processions/Escorts

EVERY RIDER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for their own safety at all times while riding in a funeral procession. 

At NO TIME are any riders authorized to block any intersection or otherwise block or impede traffic laws in any way.  Only Law Enforcement officials are authorized to block and/or impeded the lawful flow of traffic.

If you choose to fly a flag on your bike you are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for ensuring it is secured and not a danger to any other rider or traffic. 

                                                                                 High Temperatures

It's every RIDER'S PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to hydrate prior to attending a mission. 

Begin drinking water the night before.  Drink water when you wake up and continue drinking water all day to ensure your body stays hydrated.
