Part 1 Details

We have been invited by the family of Robert Albers to join them in honoring the life and military service of their loved one. We will do this by standing the flag line at his funeral service, then ride in the very short (less than 1 mile) procession to the cemetery where we will once again stand in honor at his interment. The Patriot Guard has been asked to fold and present the flag, as well as possibly assist with pallbearer duties.

We will stage at the funeral home and assist the support person with the placement of flags, if needed. After the mission brief is given, we will stand the flag line to welcome the family and guests of Mr. Albers. Once the service begins, we will retrieve the flags and return them to the support vehicle for transport to the cemetery for the interment service, which will immediately follow the funeral service.

Riders not riding in the procession will proceed with the support person to the cemetery to set the flags and await the arrival of the procession bringing Mr. Albers. The safety brief will then be given to those riding in the procession.

At the conclusion of the committal service, and at the direction of the ride captain, the flags will be retrieved and returned to the support vehicle, where they will be furled and stowed. After the post mission brief all riders will be dismissed.
